The Dark Knight

I just bought the Dark Knight DVD, and I am very excited. I am going on a seven-hour plane ride soon, and so I wanted to copy it to rip it from the DVD to watch on the plane. Unfortunately, no matter what program I use, I am told that, "The operation cannot be completed because you do not have sufficient privileges for some of the items." How do I attain sufficient priviledges?
