miniDV to DVD...

I am trying to convert from miniDV (canon mv790) to dvd but the quality is very low... can anyone help?

u cannot compare it to orignal dv but results frm dv to dvd are pretty good. what is ur encoding rate or what profile ur using.

usually variable rate of 6000 for encoding u will get good result, or 1 dv tape per dvd.

a couple of days ago i used ulead with panasonic dv material for testing purposes and output to avi and dvd both looked fine

may be a question of output profile/dimension/bitrate you use
