Converting AVI to VOB; programs always converting to MPEG

Hello
I've been coverting AVI files to VOB on my old computer for a couple of years now.
I have now got another computer and have the same programs for converting and to burn VOB files. But it always downloads to MPEG on DVD Shrink. Also on AVS convertor it converts to MPEG instead of what I have selected being VOB.
Can any one tell me how to fix this?

If you are using the same setting, then you are making VOBs. Perhaps you have installed a new software player that calls the VOB "MPEG files". If there are IFOs and BUPs together with VOB extension, you are good to go.
