For the last week or so while trying to send a message to someone on their cell phone I keep getting the message MSN messenger is not available at this time.
I have used this messenger repeatedly to send messages to this same phone.
I contacted my ISP which in turn put me in contact with MSN affiliate. They told me that I needed to use version 8.1 which is the latest and greatest. I am currently on 7.0;;;; s . I also have Messenger 5.0 listed in my Program Files
In checking the Add/ Remove programs I see that I have
1 called MSN messenger 7.0 something
It only lists the MSN messenger 7.0 ..;kf;
Then one called Messenger 5.0 something shows up in my Program Files area and does not have an uninstaller. It does not show up in the Add/Remove programs.
Would it be advisable to remove both Messenger and MSN Messenger before installing 8.1 version.
What would be advisable to remove the Messenger 5.0 something since it does not have an uninstaller.
