AC3 Ausio Converison

I have a divx movie with ac3 sound, problem is that my cpu cant handle ac3 well, and it ends up going out of sync with the picture.
Non-ac3 movies play back fine on my computer.

Is there any way to convert ac3 sound into some non-ac3 format, one thats less ac3 intensive?

go into your divx properties and set the quality for low, this will enable you to play if fine (a had a friend with the same problem)

the setting is already on low.
