No working codec?

Hi, the problem with me is, whenever I download .avi movies, I cant watch them with anything, I've tried divx5.0.2, angelpotion,divx 3.11a, none worked, I tried it with lot of players, mplayer2.exe, the playa, etc etc! >_< And sometimes, I can watch SOME .avi movies, maybe they arent divx, but I still have to watch it with virtualdub. The .avi's that cant playback are the ones I cant open with virtualdub, saids couldnt locate decompressor for format 'MP42', anyone know any solution to this? Thanks.

mp42 is the ms mpeg4 v2 codec, which many used via nandub


install ms v2 and your problem should be solved.

the codec can be found in tsunamis filterpack.
use custom installation and only go for the codec you need!
