Hi everyone,

I am new to authoring Dvd's. I have successfully made a few Video DVD discs from Mpeg-2 video files.

Now I have come to problem, I want to use some parts of video footage from some dvds (which are not copy protected). All I can do is that I can copy vob files from dvd to my hard drive. I am using MyDVD and DVDIt! LE for dvd authoring. Both software do not accept .vob files. Is there any utility which can convert vob files into mpg (mpeg-2) files without disturbing the actual video/audio content (ofcourse which should compatible with these software).

Which is the best dvd authoring software available for making standard video dvd's.

Adobe Premiere will accept dvd vob files.. make sure you have a 3rd party dvd player software installed... but it works fine.. I use it all the time..
