Nothing is showing...and no sound too

hi i downloaded a movie from kazaa.....but nothing it showing....the screen is just all black the whole time and theres no sound... why is this happening??:confused:

Open the video file in Virtualdub and check its File Information. Post what you see here.

I'm having the same problem as well! I went to Virtualdun and got the following info:

352x488, 4.000fps (25.000us)
13648 (56:52)
Uncompressed RGB1
13648
12672/12672/12672 (168894K)
(no delta frames)

The audio stream was completed blank as well. I have other downloaded movies, but don't have the same problem! Can a downloadable CODEC be my problem? Sure would like to get an answer!

That sucks.... How can you tell that it's a bad movie before you download it on Kazaa??? Man, that bites....

judging a file BEFORE downloading should be impossible imho.

but download some 2-5 mb, run divxfix (in case it is an avi) over it and check the file information like you did right now.

UNCOMPRESSED rgb will never mean anything positiv.
4.000 fps are of course total crap as well
23.x, 25 or 29.x should be halfway decent framerates.

That's awesome. I've gone ahead and scanned a couple other files and found them to be total pieces of crap as well. Do you think Kazaa or XOLOX have better reliability for downloads? Kazaa is 0 for 5 right now...
