No video, but sound

Hi!

Well you could call me a beginner but I am having a problem with a vid that I have just downloaded. I have divx 3.11 alpha and all my other divx movies work but not this one. I am using Windows Media player 7.1(i think). Can somebody help me?

there is more than just divx3 as codec.

you might need divx4 or ms v1-3, too!

I am having the same problem. Installed 3.11 alpha and using micro dvd player. I opened the same files in win98 but am currently using win2000 server and all i get is sound. Need help desperately.

Here's what to do

install a codec pack (i go for kristal studio; UncasMS for tsumini; and there are some more Nimo, Delorian, Ace ..........whatever; just install one)

Then if your moviez still doesn't play get the divx 4.12 codec (answer NO when asked ...)

If after these efforts you still have no luck then
install the SMR-Patch

If all these sugestions still leave you with a movie that doesn't play ................................ then come back, but in that case have all the properties of the movie posted and as much other info that you can come up with
