What is the different between windows xp and Linux...pls tell me..

About the same as between an apple and an orange!

They're both fruit, that's where they're similar. As to how they are different ..

Well, Windows and Linux are both operating systems, but that's where the similarities end.

and as once someone told me about something similar question, pls downoad the live cd's and try it, u dont even have to install it to try.

u can even make a bootable live usb now, so no need for a cd.
plus the multi boot usb maker is cool as i have ubuntu desktop and netbook, kubuntu and windows 7 all in one usb to install or try.
Seems like as soon you buy somehing, v. 2 comes out 1.5 times as fast!..!
