I never second guess the author of this program and stay with defaults,
I do adjust burn speed.

Thanks Chewy, I just thought somebody might know if that was a setting for CDs, or could you use it on DVDs, I guess I go with what you said, makes sense, he wrote the proggy, follow the default settings.

Check the MMC Specs. DAO is for DVDs - it writes the whole ting ion one go and finalises it (this is what you want for DVD Video, Audio CDs etc).

In TAO, the laser is switched off after each track (unlike DAO).

SAO is for CDs but IIRC has multi-session capabilities.
