Don't think so. You're substituting one title (the original) with another (the Chapter Edited one). The original IFOs will be updated with info from the new IFO.

I tested Chapter Edit 1.10 with the homemade DVD which was originally built with a single title and scene selection menu. I kept the original chapters and added some new chapters randomly. After the process, the scene selection menu was deleted completely without new menu substitution, the original chapters were still remained and new chapters were created. IMHO, since this tool only accepts single title DVD and deletes the original menu, it will not likely accept and open any full disc backup (mostly multi-title). It is OK enough to use for quick editng chapters for main movie backup with DVD Shrink or adding chapters some of the DVDs original converted from VHS tapes

@benbryant - Thanks!!! It could be handy if you wanted a chapter interval at a point where there was none to be able to go to a particular scene without fast forwarding from the previous chapter. Hmm, does TmpGenc DVD Author add graphics for the chapter selection?

But that is the point of putting the menus back. I know if you have 10 chapters that you wanna turn into 40, you've got a job in front of you to create a new scene selection menu, but it isn't all that hard. The rest of the menus can be retained.

Nevertheless, it looks interesting.

TDA can add a menu (as can Titlewriter) from its stock of templates. I kinda like making one myself from the scene.

Yes, several of the menu templates include graphics for each chapter

Take care!

It doesn't matter how nice the premade menus are, I usually learn to make my own menus. It doesn't matter how ugly and primitive they are, I am always proud of them

Old thread, but I haven't found anywhere else to discuss this: I used CE v1.10 to change chapters on a home-made VIDEO_TS, and the resulting DVD was set for Region 2!!!??!! So wouldn't play in my test player, a Region 1.

I was able to easily fix the region coding to "all" using PgcEdit but was surprised to see the problem given this thing's been around a few years. Anyone else notice this?

There are better ways to edit your chapter points - DVD Remake Pro or VobBlanker.
