Guess they figure Ripguard was a joke but given the fact that all current BD+ discs can be decrypted, it isn't worth 45c.

And what does this indicate about SONY's committment? How are they gunna feel buying protection services from a competitor? Is DADC the next to go?

Well, I guess Blu-ray has seen the end and MV is only seeing the beginning.

@blu: 45c (cents) may be too high of a price. It is already proven worthless. As soon as the price of the burners and disks fall, it will be worthless.

Does Macrovision even work? I don't recall any software, ever, caring about Macrovision. Nor does my settop DVD recorder. Nor does my TV...
