Default womble for mpeg was my plan but I also need 4K editing

Hi, Womble was from my findings a few yrs ago the prog for mpeg editing, I now need to make that move and edit mpeg, but I now have need of 4K as well as mpeg editing so wishing to have one prog to learn, whats it to be ?

Can others such as Power director or Resolve also match womble at this ?

What should I go for if I need mepg and 4K ?

There are few video editors that work well with 4K and mpeg. VSDC, Openshot, Shotcut are the ones completely free - yet all require a bit of a learning curve since you'll be switching from a different software.
