First off let me say hello all
I am new to the whole home video editing world and I'am haveing tons of problems that I wanted to get help on, so here goes I have a JVC GR-D73U that I have had for quite some time and shot alot of footage on and decided it was time to put on DVD's. I purchased Roxio Easy Media Creator Suite 10 and have sucessfully captured most of my video's. The problem is the quality of the capture compared to the mini dv viewed over my TV, It is horrible. On the other hand when I capture the video over image mixer that came with the camera it is pretty good. The only problem is when I try to open the image mixer file with roxio there is no audio ![]() I have been trying several things for about three day now with no results, I would like to capture my videos over roxio and have the same quality I have with image mixer 1.7, I am using the usb for my capture and today I bought a firewire card and cable but I'm thinking that there will not be that much difference in the quality ( I hope I'm wrong)........ What am I doing wrong????? |

There is a lot of difference between firewire and USB. The USB is for getting photos off of the camcorder and the firewire is for the video. Once you get your firewire set up, download WINDV and use that program. The best!!!

So your saying capture in windv then bring in roxio for editing and burning?
Next question, the driver for my camera is a usb driver, when I install my firewire card and my pc finds the driver for the firewire will I still need to have a driver for my device (camera)? I hope not, ever since I installed that usb driver (pixela) my pc has been getting the bsod and I really need to uninstall it. Every post I have read says that driver is not for sp2 on XP. |
