Default Problem With Sinhala Subtitles

hi Im dilan from srilanka.
I wanted to create subtitle for movie, and I created a subtitle text(subs.txt) file.
for that task I used 'Sinhala' font named 'Hiruni'.
but when Im going to create subtitle file(.srt) using 'Divxland media subtitles 2.0.5', it didn't show 'Sinhala' characters, but showed English characters without sequence.
I can make .srt file using English fonts. But I just want it to be 'Sinhala'.

PLEASE HELP ME.

thanks in advance
dilan.

Hi Dilan. Welcome. You're into a lil more advanced stuff outside of being a new member to the forum. We have several forums here dedicated to Divx formats and others. Try a search first of the forums and I guarantee the moderator for that particular forum will help you if you can't find your answer. Most if not all topics are usually covered.

There may be a workaround.
I never used Divxland. I use Subtitle Workshop. Your problem lies in the fact that neither of the programs is Unicode compliant.

How? If you have already created a .txt subtitle, what do u need Divxland for?

If you wish to hard sub your video file then all u need is Virtualdub and VSFilter.
