Hi Guys,
I'm not sure if this has been asked before, I had a hunt around but couldn't see anything that really hit the spot. I would like to be able to do live & recorded Picture in Picture video from webcams. An example of where I have seen it is on the videos on mixergy.com I can only guess that it is a screen cast of Skype? Any ideas would be great. I need to be able to record so that I get a local file and ideally stream live to something like ustream simultaneously. Thank you very much in advance! Cheers, Duncan |

Ok I have found a solution to this which is a little hacky but does work pretty effectively.
In this order: Local Picture in Picture Using WebCam Max you run PIP as it has the option for 2 sources. Primary: Your Webcam Secondary: Screen area Then kick up Skype and start your video call and move the window into the selection area or viceversa. This gives you both a local and a remote stream which you can record. And streaming simultaneously You can do this using Ustream. Webcam Max is very nifty and adds itself as a video device which means it will pump out what you have set it up to show. When you get ustream up and hit broadcast now, click accept on the dialogue and select WebCam Max as the source. Hit broadcast and you are now recording locally and streaming you have an almost complete TV station set-up! Uber Awesome ![]() -- Let me know if anyone knows any better ways to do this.. Thanks, Duncan |
