I know most of those.

Except the single-digit TV channels thing. We've had cable ever since I was old enough to watch TV.

What about GBC/N64? That's what I grew up with and I still had to blow on the cartridges.

I wonder how many your children will know when they are teens.

Yeah, I was just pointing out that to my parents who are the same age as some forum users, I am "their kids"...

MY kids would be way more new-school than anyone my age or younger, LOL

Remember when TV's first had remotes, you could hear the ding sound that would change the channel up and down. No direct access to the channels. It was a big square box almost the size of a 3.5" hard drive.

What about a crank telephone, some of my family members still used these when I was growing up, no rotary dial, a crank on the side to ring the line, and most everybody had a party line, so your phone would ring different ways (like one short two long), and not all rings on your phone would be for you.

I still have the very first color TV we owned when they came out, it is now a bookcase in my spare bedroom.
