Default "Black Friday" Sales

Black Friday is the day after the US Thanksgiving (Friday, Nov 24, 2006)

It is the single largest shopping day (by sales) in the US. It generally has the best sale prices of the year on electronics and related items.

Here is a link to the Wikipedia definition of "Black Friday": LINK

I am creating this thread in off-topic so links can be posted to great prices on DVDs, computer stuff, etc. If you find something on sale for this shopping day (and it is a great deal), just post the link here.

Make sure you use the forum tools to subscribe to this thread to make your shopping day one of the best!

Here is a link to some advertising flyers that will be released for that day: LINK

I leave the shopping to the wife...her father and I will be playing golf all day in the 5th annual Turkey Day Shootout.

Too crowded and dangerous for me.. Most of the stores around here have those 5:00 A.M. sales.. Takes an act of Congress to get me out of bed that early. I shop on line as much as possible too.

Actually that's Black Sunday, from the same author as Silence of the Lambs.

(I assume you knew that and were making a joke but just in case...)

Best Buy might be having 100 packs of dvd-r's for $5.

I hate rebates, very bad experiences with them, UNLESS you can use them at the check out counter.

My supply of 100 pack CD-R high speed disks is getting low, maybe Santa Claus will remember me, or good prices at Best Buy, or Circuit City after turkey day.

She who must be obeyed (My wife) has informed me that Target Stores has free shipping on any orders placed before Nov. 10th. Here's the link.

You couldn’t get me in a retail store on Black Friday.
With my luck I would get in-between the hoard of ruthless shoppers and the last item on the shelf.
RIP
