Is there any 9Gb DVD burner?

    Hi!

The obvious next wave of DVD burners will support 9GB instead of the current 4.7Gb...

Is there currently ANY 9Gb burner? I assume so since there's blank media around, but...

    Prices? Places? Brands? Compatibility?

I asume that few home DVD players will have problems with DVDR4, so... DVD9 will be worst, right?

Finally, any1 in here tested DVD-R on a Samsung 611?

    L8r!

    NO

the next wave proabaly will not support disks there are no such thing as 9 gig disks, what u are really looking at is dual layered disks, at the factory 2 very slims disks are burned one transparent and the other solid and the transparent and solids are glued together so you have 9 gigs instead of 4. so u probably wont see 9 gig dvd disks of there is a disk it will be double sided like flip over now that is a possibility
