    Region Lockout

Can anyone help. i was using DVD region Killer and other software on my pc seems to have disabled it and somehow caused my drive to lockout. I now cannot play any DVDs.

Does anyone know of a way to get around this? As far as i can deduce once its locked out there is no way back..

    Thanks

I'm using the same programs too and I think I got the lockout too.

WMP9 said that there was something wrong with the digital copyright protection.

    Did yours say anything jayesser?

Anyone has any ideas to solve our problem?

For what i have experienced with dvd region killer i can tell you that is a program that only works on your dvd software, not in your hardware, like others, what this tool does its just that gives you the chance to change yor region as many times as you want. If you want to this tool to work, you have to install it several times until you see a change in the phisical part of the player (it will change color or something) like windvd or powerdvd, not with wmp9, but even if you accomplish this, the dvd will play slow.
Try to get a software that works directly into your drive. I highly recommend DVD Region Free, is the best tool ever... proved!

        Yeah!

I fixed my problem by installing WinDVD and uninstalling WinDVD.

Found out the audio decoder disappeared.

          Thanks everyone

I got around the problem by flashing the bios on the drive and this reset it. I still need to use region free software though but thats ok - at least the drive is useable again!
