    DVD Xcopy Xpress

DVD xcopy xpress’ claim to fame is that it will fit all of a DVD9 (dual layer) onto a DVD5 (ie: DVDR single layer) without loss of quality. It does all fit, but does anyone know what they are doing to accomplish this? All of the components of the original are there (extras, menus and all audio tracks) so how are they getting it all to fit? Details will not frighten me, please elaborate if possible.

The same (in general - However, each author uses his/her own algorithms) type of compression performed by a load of other similar programs, such as DVD95Copy, DVD2One, (Freeware) DVDShrink, Pinnacle InstantCopy, etc...
