Convert protected MOV with Flash-Track to AVI

I want to convert some MOV files to AVI. Unfortunately I can't extract the VideoStream in QT6Pro, because the movie is protected ('Couldn't export the movie, because this movie does not allow saving').

Then I heard of MOV2AVI, which overrides the protection. Unfortunately MOV2AVI cannot handle a Flash Track. It just produces an empty Videofile.

Is there any program whith which I can export the videostream or kill the flash track???

Assuming you do indeed have QT6Pro, open the Sample Movie.mov that comes with QT. Locate the protected file and drag it's icon onto the Quicktime Player window (the border should change to marching ants) and let go.

Now delete the tracks you don't want, and save as a standalone .mov (you may need to trim off the bit of the front left over from the Sample Movie).

You now have an unprotected .mov (I just recently did this on Win2K with QTPro6.3) Note, it doesn't have to be Sample Movie.mov, any unprotected movie will do. I just chose it because you're sure to have it.
