    bivx/xvid problem

ok...I've run out of ideas so I thought I'd post this up and see what u guys think...

I have a dual language xvid ac3 file (bivx...the second stream is commentary) and playback with the first audio stream is fine but when I switch to the second audio stream both the audio and video seem to be playing at 2x normal speed.

I used to have the tsunami codec pack installed but because of this problem I've uninstalled it and any other codec or filter that may be in conflict. Now all I have is:

    Xvid codec (Koepi's)
    AC3 filter
    and morgan stream switcher

It doesn't seem to be a common problem cause I've googled everything I can think of and came up with nothing.

What can I do to correct this problem? It could be the file so how do I find out if it is? Here's a couple screenshots from gspot:

anybody know what IMRR does? Suggestions welcome..

Oh...I should also mention when I uninstall morgan SS the file plays in "commentary mode" at normal speed

And Yess I know I could just uninstall morganSS whenever I want commentary

if i remember correctly media player classic as well as bsplayer wont need a stream switcher but have build-in solutions

maybe you should try media player classic first (no installation needed)?

                    yes

it is my one and only player for mpeg-4/1 (powerdvd for mpeg-2)

i mentioned the other two players as i wanted to point out players with BUILD-IN sound switching options

Have you noted that DVX is quite buggy.
Every time i go to the cropping option it gets stuck ans crashes.
It didn't happen to me only it happened also on other sytems.
I have both the latest sys pack and the latest DVX release.

i actually dont consider it quite buggy - of course errors might occur

post in the DOLEMITE's dvx forum pls

                        there might be numerous reasons

ok than ,by the way i've re read your guides regarding gk.
Since i'm tryin differnt methods to crop then your guide my be quite usefull aswell

The cropping method you reffered too was the one selecting
"smart crop all' ---> thats ok i've tried it

The other method is using the "pixel option"
right.I've tried it out and the movie's black bars where gone away
in the preview window but instead of them there where white bars instead. Is this normal. And will the movie appear without black bars after encoding or will the player put its own ?

What sound do you mean ???

Dont you use the same de-coders for both players...

How can the quality be different then ???

Or have you some sort of audio "enhancer" plugin for WMP9 installed ???
