Yeah this happens to me aswell.

Does it go all blocky and it sometimes just stops?

I think its the media you and I may be using is dodgy.

I always try it on a ReWriteable first, especially if I'm shrinking.

Might be, I think also that its because of the high fragmentation on the hdd or perhaps of some programs running whilst burning. What media are you using and is it + or -

I said what are princos because on the disc there is written MNUFACTURED BY RITEK.

So what they are made by PRINCO what do you mean by that ?

I misunderstood. You said Bulkpaq and I assumed they were as so often appears here, Princo.

                        I myself, use Ritek

With Bulkpaq PRINCO I never had success.
My NEC 1300A despite NEC stipulating PRINCO support with one of their firmware upgrades* never acknowledged media inserted with an entire 25x drum of things ... which I have subsequently sold on to a colleague who says his TDK burner works fine with them.

                            *tried firmwares 1.07, 1.08, 1.09, 1.0A & Herries 1.08(?)
