    Xvid problems to decode

    Hi people. I am experiencing problems when trying to edit videos encoded in Xvid format. I can watch the video normally in Windows Media Player and other video players, but it is occuring a weird problem when opening with VirtualDub or other similars. See the attached image. The problem is that it only occurs with Xvid video, and not with Divx-encoded vids. What should I do? I have already tried to uninstall and install a newer version but the problem persists... any idea?


    Oh, my PC specifications are:
    Pentium 4 1.8 (no overclock)
    256 Mb DDR266
    Windows XP
    Intel D845Gb (I think), offboard
    Ati Radeon 8500 64mb (i think this one is not needed, right?)

          Hi Soulhunter. Thanks for the link; I had already fixed the problem without doing anything, except for the fact that I uninstalled the XVid coded and didnt reinstall again....

          Very weird isnt? I uninstalled the XVid codec in the ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS list, but can still watch my Xvid files.
