    help - recode crashes!!!

Ok, big problem and don't know how to solve it, I just started using recode and it was great, really stable I thought. I then decided I would backup my dvds to nero digital, and it started off great, did 6 dvds on the bounce no questions asked. Then, I try another, it crashed during the encoding, ok, I thought maybe laptop overheated, 4 retries later the same problem persited of crashing between 5 and 15%. So I then tried one of the dvds that worked previously, and it got to 33% and I aborted, thinking ok, must be dvd, why I don't know, but anyway, so I try a different disc, same problem. I tried ripping the vobs to the HDD but same problem of crashing. So I then decided to delte all ahead stuff using the clean tool, and reload them back onto my comp, it seemed to work at first and another encode was achieved, and a second looked on the cards until it crashed at 98%. Very annoying, now, having tried another delete and reload, it just carries on crashing around 5-15 mins in or so. Please can anyone help, because I didn't install anything between it working and now not, all I did was attach a 4 port usb hub, but that's disconnected now so I have no idea what's causing this - Please help, I thought this program had answered my prayers!!!!!!!!!! Please help!!!!!!!!!

    1. DMA still enabled? http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?t=101616
    2. Your chipset drivers for your motherboard are updated?
    3. Latest updates of Nero installed?

Yes, don't know how and yes. I have established that pausing and carrying on helps, but that is no help for nero vision and making dvds as can't pause, but i don't see why it worked before and now doesn't!!! How do I lknow what my motherboard is and how do i update the chipset (sorry I'm a bit rubbish!)

Have you checked out your CPU temperature? It sounds as that is the problem.

If you don't have a temp watch program - here is one: http://www.almico.com/speedfan.php
