Tried burning @ 8x with Recode?

I was just wondering if anyone had taken the risky challenge of burning at 8x with the Recode? If so, what was the outcome.

And yes, I know 4x is the suggested speed, I just thought I would pose the question.

I burn @ 16x with no problems. I use Verbatim 16x DVD+. Usually takes under 6 minutes to burn.
