    DVD Audio

    Hey guys,

This isn't about movies, but music. I have several CD's I'd liked to back up as DVD audio if possible. However, I can't seem to figure it out. I can rip them to MP3, but I don't want a DVD MP3 disc, I'm wanting an actual DVD audio cd. Any advice from anyone?

"I have several CD's I'd liked to back up as DVD audio if possible."

I don't think it is possible to structure a "Music Only" DVD that mirrors operation of a standard music CD (i.e., that will play in a standalone CD player). There are the new 24-bit commercial music DVDs you can buy, but as far as I know can't be "Ripped" like the standard music CD can.

Okay, is there a way to re-author them then? I have 4 cd's total that I'd like to put on 1 DVD to play in the DVD player. Is it possible?

You can save the tracks as WAV's then put them on a DVD and play on a DVD player.

Try this Audio DVD Creator sofware.

It is possible to get about 6 hours worth on a DVD (PCM 48kHz/16bits). It can also convert the audio to Dolby Digital at 192kbps for 45 hours worth.

Are there any of these programs out there that are shareware?

The "Offical Site" for "Music DVD Creator" in the link that you provided appears to be "Dead".

Both "Audio DVD Creator" and "DVD+Audio Creator" appear to be shareware, but with limitations. They are not "Full Featued" trial versions.
