    burning error with nero recode

hello everyone umm i have a slight problem i dont know whether its the nero recode program or dvd decryter or something but when i decrypted the movie it did it perfectly *no mistakes or errors* then while recoding it (by the way its my 2nd blank disc ive messed up trying to do it) its says this

    19:09:10 burn process started at 2.4x (3,324 KB/s)
    19:09:10 Compiling DVD volume started
19:45:10 **An unknown error occurred in the VOB encoder.**

the error happens when theres like 13 secs left before the movie goes into finalizing stage.

i dont know what the error is i need help if anyone @ all can give me pointers or just help i'd really appricate it thanks alot for reading this and thanks for you time.

Unfortunately, I do not have an answer, as I have never used the "Nero Recode" program. Although, cynthia and Mig$y both have and would be of more help.

cynthia is a moderator of this forum and should be with you soon. Doubt she is up right now, its like 3:00AM in the morning there where she lives.

            Hi louis

Mmmm, This is a new one on me.... (Ah, the pain, 13 seconds to go!)

Do you have the latest version of Recode installed? If not, download package 2 from: http://www.nero.com/eng/nero-up.php and re-try

You could also try to process through DVD Shrink (freeware)

Sorry I haven't been able to respond louis, I just started a new job.

Any way, how are you ripping the DVD first? With DVD Decrypter? If so, what version of DVD Decrypter?

its kool no prob......iam running the last one lighting UK threw out before he stopped updating them as of now iam doing them like this i can ethier use dvd decrpyter or shrink but i use shrink(its takes less time) to do a full disc back up encoding and stuff then set shrink to *enable burning with nero* and do it like that but iam going to try install the nero package again and see what comes up when i try to burn a movie again.

                          Make it smaller

I have this error sometimes too. It seems that Nero makes the file slightly too big, even though you've specified it to fit.
Use a custom size of (say) 4400MB and it normally works.
