    Seinfeld Season 4

I recently bought this series on DVD. I aim to make back up copies. Anyone know if these DVD's are copyable at the moment with the current versions of shrinking, encrypting and copying software? Or do the DVD's house the latest protection which prevents copying.

    Thanks

You should be able to use DVD Decrypter ver 3.5.4.0 and use the File Mode in that program before you use DVD Shrink in file mode.

Did you already do Season 4 Disc 4? If so, please let us know with what programs it worked.

Problems Backup Seinfeld Season 4 Disc 4

Hello. I'm new to this forum. Yesterday i bought Region 2 Seinfeld Season 4 DVD-Box (the one with the german version). I have had many problems with backup the DVDs all the day. I found the workarounds with DVD-Decrypter before dvdShrink, but all the things doesn't work on DVD 4. Is there no way to get away the error "Invalid DVD Navigation Structure"? I've read the Thread with possible solutions - but it doesn't seems to work, because on the Seinfeld DVDs are more than one title, and I can't create all the IFOs at one step, can I? It seems to me the VIDEO_TS.IFO file is some style of corrupt, is it possible? Also there was a VTS_08_0.VOB, IFO and BUP-File on DVD, which DVD-Decrypter didn't copy to HD. Put copying later hasn't any effect.
Here is the VIDEO_TS-Folder from my Hard Disk:
            Code:

What's the deal with all the VTS_02 (the episodes) through VTS_07 (Extras, Black-Sequence)? How can i make new IFO-Files? I am not able to do them in one go. If i make them extra for VTS_01_x, _02_x etc, i always get a VTS_01_0.IFO. Renaming these IFOs doesn't make it. If i make these IFOs in on step, i get a new VIDEO_TS.IFO, right?

It's really strange to have this problem with only one DVD (besides that, anyDVD told me this: "Found & removed wrong DVD structure!" - seems that it doesn't take an effect on DVD-Decrypter).

            Hope you can help me.

You could try with DVDFab Decrypter

as i recall, all seinfeld seasons 1 to 4 (region 4) decrypted perfectly with dvd decrypter 3.5.4.0. i may have used dvdfab on one or two of the discs though, cant remember

Taking DVDFab to Decrypt Seinfeld Season 4 Disc 4 doesn't work either. After decrypting on HD DVDShrink / Nero Recode stops on importing the folder with the message: "A VOBU-Address is incorret. Maybe it depends on an invalid navigation structure".
In which file are those VOBU-Address saved?

Could also try Magic DVD Ripper - there is a fully working trial version.

I really don't know what's the problem. It seems as if I need a program which can "ignore" this error and convert the DVD9 to DVD 5GB anyway. All Decrypter-Tools (DVD Decrypter, DVDFab, Magic DVD..) didn't correct the error. He was still in the files. So DVDShrink wasn't able to "shrink" the DVD-Files.

But in the end, I solved the problem. I used Moviejack 2 to convert the DVD to 5 GB Version and burn the Folder with Nero. Nero complained that the files have not an error-free DVD compatibility, but i ignored this. Finally, my DVD-Player can play the DVD.

                      Job done
