    DVD-Video/DVD-RW/DVD+RW

I have a Sony DRX-710UL Dual Layer External Burner and Nero software.

I opened NeroVision Express 2 and went to burn directly to DVD. The program noted I did not have a DVR- video(VR) disc in the player - I did have a DVD-R in the player.

My question: Can I use DVD-RW and DVD+RW or do I have to use a DVD- Video, if there is such an animal?

Any guidance will be greatly appreciated.

    P.S. No I haven't tried a DVD-(+)RW yet because I don't have one and don't want to buy if I don't have to.

I am trying to burn directly from a Direct TV DVR to disc.

The TV hardware on my desktop is Win TV, which NERO uses by default.

      Thanks for replying.
