TV Out Problem: Can't see movies on TV

The problem came up after formatting windows, I saw my desktop and all stuff, on TV, but not movies, they were just blacked out. Before the format, all was fine, but now, it isn't. I have GF Ti4400 card and a decent video cable.

    Help, anybody ?

Have you installed the correct codecs?

Well, I have installed ACE Mega Codecs Pack 6.03, I reinstalled the codec pack, but nothing happened.

Although I don't have experience with the card you seem to have, I have a bit of experience with the ATI All-In-Wonder cards. The problem is probably related to the video overlay. Most video card configurations play video files out on a separate layer than most of the other elements on your Windows screen. A simple way of knowing is if you play a video in a media player and take a screen shot and the area where the video was playing is black, then the video is being overlayed.

There might be a setting with your card to allow overlayed video to be sent out from the card. I can't give specifics because like I said, I don't have experience with your type of card.
