S-Video won't play DVDs onto the TV

I tired using my S-Video connection on my laptop to play movies on the TV at work. Well, I get the wallpaper and everything else up until the movie is about to begin (even the menus) but when I try to start the movie the screen (or the part that should be the movie) goes purple. If I have the movie open in only part of the screen, my desktop is still visible- just the movie goes purple. I tried Windows Media Player, InterDVD and Interactual DVD players- all the same thing.

    Any ideas? Thanks

Try changing the resolution on the player (ie PowerDVD etc) as well as the comp. to 640X480.

if what "Grain" stated doesn't work go into your video card settings and set tv #2 to be a clone of your pc monitor
