Help with DVD shrink and Nero Version 6

I have been using DVD shrink with Nero 6 for almost 10 months with almost no problems. Originally I had been using Fuji Film DVDs, and I switched to Memorex. The Fuji DVDs were working better for me so I switched back, and since I switched I haven't been able to successfully back up any DVDs. I tried several blank DVDs from one pack, and those DVDs would only get through about 15% of burning before stalling. I switched to a different pack of Fuji Films and tried 3 more. The first got about 98% complete, the 2nd got to 85% and the 3rd only 65%. Is it just a coincidence that this problem started after I switched? Also, I was trying to backup Friday Night Lights, which I noticed was on a list of DVDs that had problems, but I have also tried burning a burned DVD and I'm still having the same problems.
