Your Video file plays fine on your PC but will not load with TMPGEnc and produces an error. The first thing you need to do:
Open TMPGEnc Plus, the wizard will open. Close it.
Go to the TMPGEnc's Option menu and select Environmental settings. From there, select the
VFAPI Plug-in tab.
There you see a list of various reader plugins installed for TMPGEnc. The one that's called DirectShow Multimedia File Reader is the one that we're looking at. As a default, it's priority is -1. Select the item and right click on it. Choose Higher priority and repeat this until the "Priority" for this item is higher than any other plugin's priority in the list (usually 2).
Your file should load now
If it crashes TMPGEnc and still won't load the file itself is likely the problem. A couple things can be done:
1) Use VirtualDub to knock off a few frames at the start and end of the clip>save as new .avi.
2) Use VirtualDub and disable the audio, save as silent avi. Try to load in TMPGEnc, use seperate wav file
as audio source (as per this guide)
