MPG/AVI to ISO Image?

Helo all. Forgive me if this has been covered in another thread but if it has, I couldn't find it. I use AnyDVD>DVD Shrink>IMG Burn to back-up my dvds. I was wondering what software I would need to convert my MPG or avi files & video clips to iso images, or something else that IMG burn would read to burn them to a dvd for use in my dvd player. I'm relatively new, so I'm trying to keep it simple and I like IMG Burn.

For creating DVD, you need to encode .avi files to mpeg-2 format, author DVD, and then use DVD Shrink to reduce the filesize if needed and create ISO. PLease read this guide from the link below:
