Nero recode not recoding the whole film!!!!

Im trying the latest free trial of Nero 7. I want to compress several dvds to nero digital and it all works well apart from it only ever produces the last 20-30 mins of the film! I have tried many different settings, and have NOT changed the start-end points. During the recode process, the whole film is analysed and converted during the 2hr process (or 6hrs on double pass max quality). How does everyone manage to convert the whole of a film????? Thanks for any help you can offer.
