"Failed to burn" Lost Season 2 w/ Nero 7

    "Burn Process Failed!"

I'm trying to back up Lost Season 2 to another DVD and I've used RipIt4Mme, ran FixVTS, and then pulled it into DVD shrink. I used Shrink to back up the 1st 2nd and 3rd episodes on to a single DVD. Compresion sucks if you do all 4 episodes on 1 dvd. Now when I pull my video files into Nero 7 it encodes it and then fails at the burning process. Nero suggests I save this "helpful" log file. I saved it, but it's too long to post here.

    Any suggestions?

Welcome to the Forum. Unless you delete them when you are done Nero just keeps adding to the log history. So please post just the failed burn log, it should be the one at the bottom?

Well you need a pro for that one & they will probably be along shortly. If you used RipIt4Me for the first three, why not keep using it & burn with ImgBurn (free). ImgBurn.

          Want to shrink

The reason I did this is...
          1. Every time I used R4M to rip "movie only" it would only rip the 1st episode. At least when I pulled that file into Nero it looked like it was only 1 show because it only took up 1.5GB of space. I would choose "movie only" and when I pulled the file into Nero it was only the 1st show.
          2. To get around that I ripped the "full disc" using R4M, then FixVTS, then I used DVDShrink to carve off the 1st 2nd and 3rd episode to one disc. I didn't like <70% compression I was getting with 4 episodes so I left off the 4th.

Can I easily burn the 1st 3 episodes on one DVD without using Nero?

I didn't know to do this without Dvd shrink and I should be able to do it if I run FixVTS, but the burn problem showed up. I'm fairly new to backing up DVD's, but any ABC or Disney show/movie always seems to throw a speed bump in the way.

70% showing up in Dvd Shrink is fine, in fact 70% - 100% is what you are shooting for most of the time. Some go lower.

              RipIt4Me guide.

              Dvd Shrink guide.

              ImgBurn guide.

Use RipIt4Me (Full Disc) which uses FixVts, when Dvd Shrink launches do what you were doing & create an ISO to burn with ImgBurn. No Nero needed. When burning follow The Golden Rules.
