need ipod help

hello guys, im in need of a little help here. my daughter got a ipod video for xmas and now wants to put a movie or 2 on it i have aquired dvdXsoft DVD to Ipod converter and while the Gui interface is easy to understand and use it is a VERY VERY slow program just looking for something faster right now i am in the process of converting John tucker must die i am 1 1/2 hours into converting and it is only 67% done ........this is not exceptable

1.5 hrs is unnaceptable? maybe try a portable dvd player.....

is this a average time??? i am new to the converting aspect of dvds i just assumed that dvd shrink works pretty fast from start to finish so this converting would be just as fast????????

DVD Shrink transcodes MPEG-2, it doesn't actually convert. Even if it did MPEG-2 is generally faster to encode than MPEG-4 Part 2/10.

You are encoding to SP MPEG-4 or BP AVC? SP MPEG-4 should be faster. Also you are doing 1 pass or 2?
