    please any free software to convert dvds to mpeg?

    Well, after ripping DVD to HDD, the VIDEO_TS folder holds some .VOB files. These are .MPG file (your movie files). You can rename them by changing their extension from .VOB to .MPG (make sure that you allow the windows to show the file extension for renaming). If you don't mind having the .net framework 2 or 3 installed, you can download and use the freeware called: VOB2MPG. Download it from the link below:

    VOB2MPG is a DVD to MPG file converter. It goes through a whole DVD VIDEO_TS folder and joins up the various vobsets to produce MPGs for the different titles.

        Hi Benbryant,

        For programs like VOB2MPG and similar ones ... any benefit to have framework 3 installed ... if I already have .net framework 2?

          or TMPGenc
          Tmpgenc is a MPEG video encoder, convert to MPEG1(VCD) and MPEG2 (SVCD, DVD) with several settings and filters. Also basic MPEG1/MPGE2 joining, splitting, demultiplexing and multiplexing.

            AFAIK, the .net framework 3 contains .net framework 2 and mainly benefit more for windows Vista
