I need to ask about Subtitles also

Can you add subtitles to a regular DVD? If I was backing up a title and know another language.. and have found some already done here. How do I add them or can they be added?
I ask because my wife is Deaf and she is from Indonesia, her english is improving but sometimes the captions are too fast and I want to fix those and when her family comes they can enjoy the movie also.
          Thanks

I suggest you to try MV2PLAYER. It's a free video player and it enables you to movie subtitles.

I think the latest version of 'TMPGEnc DVD Author 3 with DivX Authoring' might be able to do that. It allows for adding two subtitle streams.
