Recode fails when I click Import DVD

I truly am at my wits end - I had Nero 6 trial installed and it worked excellently for the time that I had it - then I came to purchase Nero 7 Premium only to find that Nero Recode will not do anything for me.

Recode will start properly without errors but whenever I click Import DVD (when selecting the recoding entire DVD to DVD or the recoding Main Movie options) or when I click Import Titles when selecting the Compiling a DVD option. Nero Burning Rom just fails to load and reverts back to NeroSmart as does NeroExpress

Nothing seems to work. I've even uninstalled Nero6, and uninstalled Nero7

I am on Windows XP Home and am using Nero Recode 2.4.5.0

Any ideas?

Have you looked at using RipIt4Me to rip to your hard drive, then Dvd Shrink & finally burning the ISO from Dvd Shrink with ImgBurn, all free. If you do look at those here is a link & another link that might help.
