    Your top 5 electronic gadgets

I thought I would start a thread where people can post their top 5 best electronic gadget purchases. It could be because they are really useful, or fun or any reason you can think of.

    I'll start off with mine:

    1. Panasonic DMR EH-60 DVD/HDD recorder - I use it for hours every day, can't live without it now.

    2. Momitsu V880N - networked, upscaling DVD player with DVI output. Plays DivX/XviD movies.

    3. Xbox 360 - gaming, high definition DVD and H.264 video support

    4. Nintendo Wii - the total opposite of the Xbox 360, small and efficient, but just as fun

    5. D-Link DI-524 wireless router - the Wii, notebook and other devices all connect to it, and also extends my wired network so I can connect more devices to it. Essential piece of gadget.

    Notable mentions:

    * Logitech Wingman Gamepad - console gaming on the PC (a bit old now though)
    * Pioneer PDP-504 plasma panel - 4 of the above 5 gadgets depend on it
    * Joytech Control Center 540C - my AV hub, an easy way to extend the plasma panel's inputs
    * Toshiba Satellite M-40 notebook - I can finally bring my work with me. Having to work during your holiday is not so nice, but it's better than not having a holiday at all

I don't know what I would do without my 5G iPod; It takes me an hour or so to get to university every morning, that's at least 10 hours/week of mind-numbing train/foot travel, unbearable without music or podcasts.

Don't know if this is a gadget, but the HTPC. Athlon64 3200+, 1GB RAM, Geforce 7600GT, I think ATM ~800-900GB total hard disk space. Does TV, movies, gaming, etc.

Have a 40" Samsung LCD, think the model is LA40R71BD. Great picture, great price.

Next would have to be my Harmony 520 remote. Takes care of the display, HTPC, DVB-S receiver/satellite motor, amp and DVD player all at once.
