Virtualdub no sound after audio reinsert

I have followed the articles describing audio reinsertion after normalisation and, using both Virtualdub and Nandub, I end up with no sound and great video. What gives I have also noticed that in some guides they state audio is to be direct stream copy and in others it says to have full processing mode enabled. I have tried both to no avail.

I have had to resort to a programme I use for my mp3 music files for volume altering called mp3gain (a great little prog which can do mass adjustments quicker than any other one I have found) as I have not been able to employ the volume adjustment in these programmes.

A quick word of thanks: You guys -and gals- are the best!!!

You should be able to do it like this:

    1. Open the avi - under video select direct stream copy
    2. Under audio - select mp3 and point to the audio file
    3. Under audio - make sure it is set to direct stream copy
    4. Under file - select save avi

This should mux the video and audio together. If you still get no sound, use a audio player and make sure the mp3 is ok (you can hear it)
