Failed to set write parameters?

I'll try to keep this as short as possible!!

Dowload films in bin files and have laptop with xp on it.......right click on file .......burn with imgburn.......insert cd no problems at all............something is now loose in my burner and it wont work..........start up very old pc working on windows 98 and only has a cd re-writer (no dvd re-writer)..........anyhow seems to recognize everything .......right click on file and insert cd...........get..........FAILED TO SET WRITE PARAMETER........

Am I doing something wrong or is it that the pc is just sooooooooo old i dont stand a cat in hell chance?

This is a good icon as to how i feel after about 10 hours of searching & trying

You've probably got a very old cd burner that doesn't full support the MMC codes in the way I'm using them.

If it doesn't work straight off, it's not going to.

That's not to say future versions won't work, I'm always making tweaks and fallback methods for old drives.

Thanks for letting me know...........I guessed it was probably due to the age of the PC (1999 I think!) and as I said I dont have any hassle at all with my laptop so I guess I'll just have to get it fixed.

p.s Thanks for Imgburn its great, very easy and always seems to do what I want it to without any grief!
