I went outside for a little bit, that is why there is a 2 hour gap because when I came back, I saw the error, usually the disc is ejected and my computer hibernates.

That is the 3rd time in a row it happened. Here is all the other logs.

Btw, I had to reformat my computer because I got hit by a nasty virus. I just reinstalled everything and updated the firmware on my samsung dvd writer. It used to work fine before the reformat. 1st time I get this error.

Try cleaning the drive / using some Verbatim DVD+R's instead.

All you're getting at the moment is a 'Write Error' - so there's obviously some issue with the drive writing to the media.

well we are down to just a few off the wall things
                        1. coincidence, burner crapped out?
                        2. isolated bad disks(happened to me with a few verbatims) long ago and far away
                        3. bad firmware flash(sh!te happens)

try a disk from another spindle or quite a few disks away from the last ones?

                        reflash from safe mode

ok im going to try that after I get off work but I just have a question. I have a samsung drive and there is this auto firmware update program that I used to update it. But now when I try to run it, it says that the model installed on my pc is not a supported model. Is it because its already update to latest firmware or just that my install is messed up?

Then choose the drive whose firmware you want to upgrade.
