    Camera Drivers & Vista

I have a couple of older devices (a digital camera and a digital movie camera) with drivers I've downloaded that are intended for XP etc but not for Vista, apparently.

E.g. I have a Panasonic NV-MX500 digital video camera. Vista detects the camera but can't find or install the driver. I don't have the disc but have downloaded the driver from the Panasonic website, however the installation instructions are for XP/Windows 2000 etc and not sure how to set this up on Vista, or even if it's worth trying?

    Thoughts, anyone?

For video tape capture use firewire only and moviemaker?

Most likely you have the camcorder in the wrong mode. It needs to be in tape playback mode...the green LED lighted.
In camera mode you might be able to transfer pictures accross usb

    Shouldn't need a driver
