Cable and satellite operators may soon offer first-run movies on HD VOD (Video On Demand) shortly after their theatrical release -- and well before their DVD and Blu-ray release.

I seen this on Tech chat tonight. The thing is all PPV movies on Sat,cable and verizon will have a 24 hour life span on your DVR or Tivo hard drives after you first watch it.If they dont comply with these timers on payper view vids they will no longer be able to air them. This does not apply to regular stations or pay channels like HBO.It's just exclusive to PPV stuff and far as I know VOD falls in the PPV category.
