    HD and HD/DVD q's

New to this forum. We are a church upgrading our video capabilities and have a few questions..We are getting HD cameras, when we shoot HD, can we burn to regular DVD or does it have to be HD/DVD's? Can HD-DVD's be played on regular DVD players?

You might need some more software to convert it. I've never converted DVD HD to DVD before. The PC might convert it through some auto mode the way and Region DVD goes to Region 0. Just say you live in the UK and you have a DVD player that is Region 2 only and you copy and Region 1 DVD, it copies to Region 0 that is Universal. The same might happen with DVD HD to DVD. You can't play a DVD HD in a DVD machine because the laser in a DVD machine whether it's a player or recorder is only built for DVD only. The same applies where a DVD machine can't play BluRay because DVD, DVD HD and BluRay have different lasers each. Hopely for you, you can covert DVD HD to DVD. Type something like "convert DVD HD to DVD" in Google. Don't use the word "burn", use "convert" because you have to convert before burning.
